Poster & Literary Contest for Youth (English and Francais)
Every year, the Royal Canadian Legion holds a Poster and Literary Contest for students across Canada beginning at Branch Level and all the way up to National Level. This is an excellent project for teachers to give their students for an art or writing project while teaching children about Remembrance. There are four different age categories – primary (gr. 1, 2, 3) [poster contest only], junior (gr. 4, 5, 6), intermediate (gr. 7, 8, 9), and senior (gr. 10, 11, 12) – and several different poster/essay categories – black and white or colour poster, essay and poetry. Prizes range from certificates all the way up to a chance to go to Ottawa to attend the National Remembrance Day ceremony!
Bursary Information
We’re passionate about helping young people in our community achieve success and continue their education. We offer 10 bursaries and 10 scholarships to students entering into their first year of post-secondary education. To qualify, students must be a resident of Saskatchewan and a child, grandchild or great-grandchild of a current – or former – serving member of the Canadian Armed or Allied Forces or RCMP.
Remembrance
One of our most important duties at the Saskatchewan Legion is to promote remembrance of our fallen veterans.

We offer numerous programs and connections to help veterans get the benefits and resources they need.
Community
We are dedicated to the community in which those who served live, offering numerous programs right where we live.
