HOW TO USE THE MILITARY RECOGNITION BOOK SPREADSHEET

Name Year Page Book Number

ExampleNames:

  • The names are listed alphabetically by surname (last name), as they appeared in the Military Recognition Book that they were published in.
  • Women are often listed under their married names with their maiden names in brackets.  It is often best to search under their married names.

Years:

  • The year listed is the year that the book was published.

Pages:

  • The page number listed is the page on which that particular veteran can be found in the book.  Digital copies will be off by a couple of pages because they count the cover page and table of contents as pages.  Use the numbers at the bottom of the “book pages” to find the appropriate page.
